Transport to and from hospital
When you receive a hospital appointment, you may need help to get to the hospital. To find out if you’re eligible for ambulance transport, you can call the Scottish Ambulance Transport Service on 0300 123 1236.
Fife Bus, Fife Council’s Demand Responsive Transport Service (DRT), provides door-to-door transport for people who are unable to access mainstream public transport. Our minibuses have very low steps, or a passenger lift. This allows wheelchair users to travel with us too. Our friendly driving staff are on hand, to allow our passengers to board and alight. They will also assist with your seatbelt if needed.
